God
gave us the gift of life. The meaning of life is to find your gift.
Breathing is the first act of life and the last. When the breath from God
leaves, whatever remains is but
dust and goes back to
dust. Instinct is an untaught ability. Intuition is the whisper of the soul. Awareness of ignorance is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge always comes first. Wisdom is built on knowledge. Knowing yourself is the beginning of wisdom. Knowledge removes the darkness of ignorance in life. Education is the best antidote for ignorance.
Knowing others is intelligence; knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering
others is strength; mastering yourself is true power. Real knowledge is knowing the extent of one's ignorance.
Wisdom is the right use of knowledge. Knowledge isn't free. You
have to pay attention. Science is organized knowledge; wisdom is organized
life. Integrity is telling the truth. And honesty is telling the
truth to other people.
The ability to use our knowledge and experience to make good decisions and
judgments. Good judgment and advice in difficult and uncertain matters of
life. Listen to your instincts and manage growth wisely. It will
help you see and do the right thing at the right time, in the right way, with
the right people. Intelligence is not measured by how much you know but by how much you have the capacity to learn.
Intelligence is like a river. The deeper it is, the less noise it makes. A bird doesn't sing because it has an answer; it sings because
it has a song. Observe and reflect, and become a little wiser every day.
A wise old owl sat on an oak; the more he saw, the less he spoke; the less he
spoke, the more he heard. We are neither doves nor hawks but owls, and we
are vigilant when others are resting. Be an eagle instead of flocking like
pigeons. You can't soar like an eagle when you surround yourself with
turkeys. Flutter like a hummingbird, be bold like an eagle, and have a
fearless spirit. All birds find shelter during a rainstorm. An eagle
uses the negative energy of a storm to fly even higher.
Wisdom is not a product of schooling but of a lifelong attempt to acquire
it. Knowledge comes from learning. Experience comes from living.
A life without problems is like a school without lessons. Sometimes you
have to experience the bad, so that you can learn to appreciate the good things
that enter your life. To attain knowledge, add things everyday,
understanding, and accepting new information.
Intelligence is an individual's capacity to store and utilize information, while
wisdom is more practical knowledge gained through experience. Intelligence
doesn't guarantee wisdom. Intellect takes you to the door, but it doesn't
take you into the house.
Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if you remember to turn
on the light. Do not dwell in the past; do not dream of the future.
Concentrate the mind on the present moment. Worry does not empty tomorrow
of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength. It will not take away
tomorrow's troubles; it will take away today's peace.
When life hands you a lemon, make lemonade. Love yourself first, and everything else falls into place.
Your time is your life. That is why the
greatest gift you can give someone is your time. A loving heart is the truest wisdom.
"For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul."
(Proverbs 2:10)
No one is perfect. That's why pencils have erasers. Good people are
good because they've come to wisdom through failure. Mistakes are painful,
but as time goes by, they become a collection of experiences called "lessons".
Grief gives you a hundred reasons to cry; hope gives you a thousand reasons to
smile; joy gives you a million reasons to laugh, and love gives you a billion
reasons to rejoice. Wisdom provides contentment, joy, and peace.
Learn to manage your stress by making choices that bring you joy. Emotions are slaves to your thoughts, and you are the slave to your emotions. The truth is still the truth, even if no one believes it. A lie is still a lie, even if everyone believes it.
Good people are good because they've come to wisdom through failure. The truth is more important than the facts. The
truth
will set you free, but first it will piss you off. Competition is the law
of the jungle, but cooperation is the law of civilization.
Life is like a book. Some chapters are sad, some are happy, and some
are exciting. You can't start the next chapter of your life if you keep
re-reading the last one. Don't stay where you don't belong. If you don't let the past die, then it won't let
you live. You can never plan the future based on the past. Be
strong
enough to let go and wise enough to wait for what you deserve. Life's not about waiting for the storms to pass.
It's about
learning to dance in the rain. We must go through the storm to
appreciate the sunshine. You can't calm the storm, so stop trying.
What you can do is calm yourself. The storm will pass.
Wisdom outweighs any wealth. The value of life cannot be measured by
any amount of money. Prefer knowledge to wealth, for one is transitory and the other perpetual. The wisdom of life consists in the
elimination of non-essentials.
Don't gain the world and lose your soul;
wisdom is better than silver or gold. Time is the wisest counselor of all.
Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching. We either practice
what we've learned or learn what we need to practice. Learn from
yesterday, live for today, and hope for tomorrow.
Peace is the beauty of life. Live to discover the value of life, not
the length of days. In the end, it's not the years in your life that
count. It's the life of your years.
